rule of thumb is you can 'safely' run 50% of your stock rated hp. As for mods? change to standard plugs, close the gap to .35 (recommended by NOS), change your fuel filter and make sure your fuel system is up to par.

Depending on how big of a shot you run, you will need to retard yuor timing; 0-55HP shot - no timing change 60-70HP shot - 2 or 3 degree retard. 75-85HP shot - 4 degree retard. And 90-100 - 5 degree retard.
Definately make sure your fuel sytem is in tip top shape (ie new fuel filter, bottle of fuel injector cleaner).
Copper plugs gapped at .35 or .40
You should (not needed) run premium (92 octane) gas.
I currently run a 75HP shot and have had no problems.

I am using a chip (Superchip Flip-Chip, custom burned & dyno tuned) to retard my timing 4 degrees.
Currently I am running with NGK TR6's. I believe VenomSVT is also running them. They seem to work great. 7 weeks of running nitrous and the plugs are still about 95% shiny.

Well I ended up with the TR5's which is what was recommended from a local shop...they said that would be fine with a 55 shot...My Zex kit arrived in the mail today, I just installed the plugs and a new fuel filter and the kit in the morning...

I think, but not 100% sure, that TR5's are the same heat range as stock plugs. TR55's are 1 step colder, TR6's are 2 steps colder. If I am right then you'll be risking detonation and at the very least you'll eat those plugs up in no time (like I did when I ran Autolite copper plugs that were stock heat range). I would suggest TR55's at the very least and TR6's if available. Run premium (91+ octane) gas.
