C'mon Antonio, I respect you as a CEG'er, but just how "cool" must you think you are to criticize someone for attempting to show some pride, be it for a single second. I respect that attitude, cheesy or not, a whole lot more than yours.

Hey man, dont take it in the wrong way, becuase it was not meant to be like that. I will die for this country I love America, but what I don't love is the people who are fake. The fake americans who only show thier pride when it is cool or a fad. The fakes americans that make American shirts to make money off the blood of those 3000 that died 1 year ago. The people that question because bliefs, because they think they are high and mighty. They make me sick. I have had an american flag up in my room for the last 15 years and I fly it proud. I was in ROTC in high school for 4 years, I even signed up for United States Air Force, but I then decieded to change another direction in my life. Don't you EVER question me about not being american. You perry my friend discuss me and you can go to hell.

Perry, I am assuming that you are upset about what happen a year ago and I understand that. What you need to understand is that what I said was in no way attacking the beliefs of the great country we all live in.

We true patriots get a little upset when the stars and stripes come into style, because they always have been our style and we don't want people to think we're part of the fad. That anger in me comes from the belief that everyone should always be as proud to be an American citizen as they were for the few weeks after September 11th last year, and now.
Do we celebrate our independence from tyranny on July 4th? No -- we spend it getting drunk and lighting fireworks. n Memorial Day, do we remember the hundreds of thousands of men and women that gave their lives for us?? No -- it's just a day off of work so we can go and water ski.
Perry, or perry -- however you like it -- the images you posted are touching, and I feel for each and every American in this time of pain.
I just get upset when the stars and stripes appear when people feel sad and guilty, and feel a need to be seen with a flag. I think that's all Antonio meant.

I am ready for 09/12 too. I think patriotism is great and I will never be able to comprehend the grief many people suffered.... however, I think that the media is milking the situation and in the "american way" has somewhat belittled the tragedy for profit ove the past year. There is paying respect then there is propaganda... thats just my .02
