There shouldn't be any welding or fabricatring LIMs. Its just the matter of staying with SVT or non for the entire intake system that your going to use. Its just not worth the price of trying to convert one over to the other. Why go thru the hassle of trying to bore out, change butterflies, and reassemble?


Because there is a big difference between the 95 LIM and the 96+ LIM due to the change from a vacuum operated IMRC system to the electronicly controled IMRC system on the later cars. I have an extra 95 LIM and have compared it to the 96+ and it's different. You can't just use a 96+ lower manifold on a 95 and expect it to work. How would you control the opening and closing of the secondaries if you did? There is no provision to add electronic control of IMRC to the 95's EEC IV ECU.
