thanks Brad, that's what I figured....and with
200lb+ deadweight in the driver's seat, I am
concerned with weight distribution.

Well, I found my problem with the power window fuse blowing after my battery relocation! I had run the cable through flexable plastic conduit under the car and one of the sheet metal screws I used to fasten the conduit to the bottom of the car grounded out against a wire harness. I was being careful to aviod this but obviously not careful enough. Remember when doing any work around the drivers side footwell area near the firewall...there are harnesses that run through there.

How did you get the power cable from the battery through the chassis. Is there a hole in the trunk somewhere, or did you drill a new one?

I drilled new holes in the trunk and then used the threaded connectors that you'd use to connect conduit to a box.
