On the SVT's, you can get a Superchip that removes the governor and magazines have taken the SVt up to 143mph during their test drives back in the day. Not too shabby for being in stock form. 
No top-speed governor chip on SVTs . Just hold the pedal down 'till it reaches top speed (on a closed course  ) . One good point to owning an SVT ... ain't life grand ?!?!?!
