Hmm, maybe then. I'd like to take it up against some Focii.

If it's bracket racing, I think I might join in the festivities. I haven't ran the car yet. I'm just worried about the tranny and diff. I heard they are weak in these cars.

One good thing about E-Town, you can drive around the waterboxes verses Atco.

Not only that, but at E'town they have a marked off area for treaded tire cars to follow (cones) and technically forbid treaded tires from the waterbox. Which is good, because knucklehead boy racers that don't know what they are doing track water into the staging area, making it slicker for the rest of us.

Atco's setup is such crap that I'll probably never go there again.

I got into a verbal argument with a guy at Cecil who was waving me in to the water pit because he was trying to sweep between the lanes (only place to go around). He was yelling as I went around, until I yelled back: "I've got treaded tires, you idiot!" He stopped yelling.

I haven't been to Cecil, but I have been to Maple Grove. Now that is a really nice track. I raced my Camaro there once and it ran its best time (still slower than my SVT).

OK, here's the skinny on E'town. They just posted the event info sometime this week. LINKY

Saturday:
Seems that Saturday morning racing is "Real Street", which I believe involves a road tour followed by bracket racing w/o any time trials. Trophy prizes, $30 entry. Not for me, thanks.

The other racing on Saturday is a $40 bracket (7.50 - 17.99 ET, street muffled cars); $500 to win, $250 runner up, $100 semifinalist. Time trials start at noon, elims at 4 PM.

The car show is from 12 - 5 with a $20 entry (good for driver and one guest). Not sure what class we'd be in, but I bet it's 33 - Special Interest, which seems to be a catch all for everyone else, including our Focus brethren. Every entry gets a free coffee mug.

Spectators are $12 on Saturday.

Sunday:
Gates open at 8 on Sunday. There are two race classes we would be capable of running in: HEAVY ET (10.00 - 15.99) and TROPHY (12.00 - 19.99). Heavy bracket is $40 entry, purse based on car count. Trophy bracket is $25 with a trophy for the winner and runner up. Gates open at 8 and street muffled cars can time trial as early as 9:30. Elims at 1 PM.

Sunday show is basically the same as Saturday, with slightly different prizes. (See link) Judging from 10 - 1, awards at 3 PM.

Spectators are also $12 on Sunday.

Here's my plan: I'm going to race in the $$$ bracket on Saturday, and probably the trophy bracket on Sunday. If I was to actually win some $$$ on Saturday, I'd re-invest that on Sunday in the Heavy bracket (but not really counting on that).

So...., let me know what people are planning on doing and I'll see you there.

Well, I just put in the work request for getting Saturday off, but won't get the confirmation till this Friday afternoon.

Jason, if I do go (99.9% chance of yes) is it alright to follow you up? I'm still thinking about that $40 bracket race. At least I would have 4 hours to get the car right on the track.

Odds are I am working until 11:30 AM that Saturday, so if we're running together you'll have to meet me in Conshohocken then and we can go right up. But yeah, that sounds like a plan. Should take maybe an hour to get there.
