I was in a major 5-car accident last night on the Pulaski Skyway. Car was very damaged. Everyone walked away, me and a young lady having the worst injuries. I bruised my hip and scraped my arms and hands. She was complaining of bad neck pain.

At short glance, the car appeared totalled. There was a bunch of stuff just torn apart from the accident, the most noticable being the valve cover separating itself from the engine.

The car was rather safe, both airbags deployed, I escaped with very minor injuries all things considered.

I will post pictures of the car as soon as I can get my hands on them.

Wow! At least you were able to walk away. What happened? Who caused the accident? I think with the airbags deploying, the car is totalled.

Airbags deploying = dash destroyed = car totalled.

Good to hear everybody is okay for the most part though.

I'm glad you are all right.

Can you sell me some parts? I need the driver side's window switches. I also need the clear plastic cover over your speedometer instrument panel. I can send you my core back if your insurance company doesn't want you parting out "their" car.

According to the gentleman in the front of the "chain", a car stopped short in front of him which caused him to stop short.

The first car = corolla
2 = blazer
3 = lex rx300 truck
4 = my csvt
5 = diamante

1 stopped very short, 2 just missed 1, 3 slammed into 2 and bounced off, resulting in 2 and 1 colliding, and 3 bouncing into 4, and then 5 bouncing into 4. My car was probably the worst damaged.

Airbags deployed, windshield shattered, engine cracked, hood missing, headlights, front oval, battery unset, etc etc. Like i said, if i had to guess I'd say a total.

I have to get up for work at 5 am tomorrow and am in a little bit of pain, so off I go. Look forward to reading tomorrow.

Thanks to all those who were concerned about the safety of myself and others, as I said, I walked away with the most injuries, now basically hip pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, and a bunch of scrapes and bruises. I am okay though, nothing that constantly bothers me.

If the pain persists you should go get a MRI to make sure no damage was done to any muscle or nerves.
When you relax and sleep the muscles tighten up and thats when the real pain sets in.

Let us know how the back and neck feel tomorrow.

My back is fine, and my neck is still a little sore, but much improved from yesterday. Doc says to go see a massage therapist.

I think this is going to be my last CSVT however. I like the car a lot, and it kept me very safe in the accident, but I'm gonna change it up I think.

Anyone have any ideas on cars similar to this? 5-speed sport sedans <$30k ?
