I did the fog lamp fix last night (or this morning...) anyway, it works great, but now they dont go off when the high-beams are on...I dont know if thats illegal in ND or not, but is this normal?? Is there any way I can keep the fog lamp fix, but have them automatically go off when the highs are on like it used to? thanks for the help!

-Brad

you should be turning your highs off when there is anyone in front of you anyway. so the best thing to do is enjoy the extra light when you do have them on.

Which fix did you do? I did the one with the relay and the upside down, in-human installation contortions and it turns the fogs off when the high beams are on. If you wired in the extra relay, might want to check the wiring. Some states ticket for more than 4 front beams.

Nope, no extra relay, I just wired in the orange wire to the orange/black so the fogs come on with the parking lamps. I dont like how they dont go off, I'm thinking about putting it back the way it was. There's really no use for just parks/fogs anyway.

it looks cool and they can be like day time running lights. also near dusk you will have some lights on to be seen even though it isn't at a point where you need lights

better yet you know when you have passed another CEGer since I wouldn't think anyone off of this sight would know about the fog lamp mod cool

by the way I normally have all stock lights on and a set of driving lights I added, that means 4 pairs of light son with high beams, haven't been stopped once for that, but I know it could happen

I drive with my lights on all the time, low beams and fogs, I dont drive without the headlamps on. Habbit. I wanted to get DRLs, but I just have a hole where the relay is spose to be (I dont know why, the car is fully loaded with the power stuff, and it was made in USA). I was looking into getting DRLs, but I heard that all I can get is 50% from the low beams, I want the high beams on, they look cooler :p soo yeah, I know there was a thing on here where I could make the fogs act as DRLs, and I was wondering if I could do that with the high-beams only...? Anyway, I'm changing back the "fix" so they go off automatically.
