Can I replace just this one mount with the SVT mount?
I'm not tremendously worried about getting rid of wheel hop (I don't usually drive that hard.) I'd almost assume anything would be better than what is in there now. I want to do this project this weekend if possible, so I need to figure out what part to order.

Yes, no problem. Call Bill Jenkins @ Signature Lincoln Mercury at 1-800-876-3280 for the part at a great price. Just tell him what you need and he know's the part #.

From what i could tell, the rubber bushing Ford uses in that mount tends to dry-rot out within a few years. I'd say it is a design flaw or a poor quality part.

I belive they get hammered apart before they get a chance to dry rot in most cases. They take a big load if you shift hard or have quick starts. My were blasted at 80k of not that hard miles.

All I know is that someone screwed up when designing these mounts...Mine was gone when I bought the car, (61,000mi). To me, this is just an example why everyone has something to say about Fords. Anyway, I can't really see why it should have gone bad. The car is pretty much mint besides shot bushings (basically, all the rubber.) I'm going to order the SVT motor mount from BAT probably tomorrow.

I just received a price quote email from Bill Jenkins and he mentioned something about having to modify the bracket for the SVT mount to fit my 95. I thought the transmission mount wouoldn't need any modification? Can someone set me straight on this? I would really like to order this part tomorrow! Thanks...

You need to open up the holes - slot them basicly - to make the front mount work on the 95 cars. It's not that hard to do. The holes only need to be opened up like 2.5mm each -not that much.

Hey, I blew out the motor mounts on my Saab 9000 in 30k miles. Hard driving will blast out motor mounts.
