I was attempting to change out a leaking Koni today. Guess what I found, My ball joint boot is tore grease every where . OK now I have to replace my control arm assembly because you cant replace that boot, right ? If anyone can help with ideas or know how let me know.

BAT sells a kit to replace the joint without doing the whole arm. You have to drill out the current one, but the kit comes with new bolts vs. rivets that are stock.

How relyable is this. Just as good I imagine. Has anyone used this setup? Is it a PITA? Because im hurting after changing out that strut . It kicked my butt

It's a very common practice. Most aftermarket units (very makes & models) are like this versus requiring the purchase of an entire control arm.
