I'm just starting to take a crack at it and getting to some of these bolts looks like it's going to be a real PITA.

If anyone has any experience I could use a couple pointers...i.e. get this one from under, that one from the top etc.

A how-to would be perfect ....my Chilton's isn't helping for sh*t

I've gotta get them off this weekend or Brad's going to have some extra grocery money this week.

BTW - I've got the car up - exhaust down - pulled the oil filter too TIA

Got the front off...nice

That back one is looking nasty...time for some extensions.

The front one is cake.

The rear one is not.

Flexable bones in your arms help a lot. However if you don't have these...

Lots of extensions, universals, gear wrenches, and don't forget the PITA upper alternator bolt...

yup, not cake whatsoever

Hopefuly I can get it off today. The worst part is that the nuts on the front side were a breeze to get started, but those on the back are in much worse shape. Aarghh

ok....I really have serious doubt about getting this back one off.

Do you think there would be any ill effects from driving around with one gutted precat and one not gutted?

Maybe I should just put the front one back on. I do have to drive the car to work tomorrow.

ohhh dammit...i feel defeated
