This is just what I was told, so if anyone can make sense of it feel free to inform me.
My engine is blown. That is what started the fire. The car needs a whole new paint job. And I quote, "the engine was blown from being rev'ed too high which sent the rod through the front and the back". 3 guys looked at my car and thats what they have agreed on so far. They are still asking questions about if I had problems with over heating or anything else that could have caused the engine to blow. There has to have been something though. I was doing 80mph in 5th gear, which is a little over 3K RPM's. They aren't going to send their report to AAA until Monday, at which time they will decide if I'm responsible for everything but the paint work, or if the car is totalled. Right now, the repair bill is in the $9,000 - $10,000 range....
