That sounds reasonable since shifter position seems to have no effect on the problem (if I shift from D to 2 or 1 it makes no difference). I haven't looked at it yet (I'm at work and it's pouring rain outside) - any tips for replacement. I do have a Haynes manual, so I'll see if it's in there.
