I had this feature on my 95 Windstar (but not on my 98). Has anybody tried to make that upgrade on their Mystique/Contour, and how should I go about wiring the illuminated part of the ring (I have a 99 Mystique). Thanks in advance! BK4293_dup1 Addicted CEG\'er B Joined: Apr 2001 Posts: 9,442 Chicago	I just did it. Go to the junkyard and get a cigerette lighter that has the little bulb socket connected to the lighter. Get the whole think that way you know everything fits right. Thats the easiest and cheapest route becuase I was just a Pepboys and they don't sell the entire setup in thier help section, at least not the one I was at. I just installed a pre 1998 Contour center console in my car and it actually has a light in the lighter and the ashtray. The ring that came with it is green, I'm trying to find a clear one so I can change all the lights in my car blue. www.ChicagoCEG.com 2006 White Grand Prix

OEM on my '97 is actually fed from behind dash. Like your's my '98 does not have this feature. Above for atx, since you have mtx you'll probably find an unused connector.
