CobraR and myself got saw a rolled/destroyed 'tour in a recycling yard a few months ago.
the dash was completly torn outta the car and in the backseat somewhere.
this allowed us to see the reason these cars fair so well in rollovers...
there is a 3" diameter (approx.) steel bar that goes from one side of the car to the other, underneath the dash!
it would take a hell of a side impact to crush the front portion of the passenger compartment ot the 'tour.
