It's not only a matter of potentially being bad (if there's lead), but it's mostly useless!

Unless you run something (boost/high comp/etc) at the track that requires additional detonation resistance from your fuel, then whatever you run on the street is fine.

Octane boosters are a waste of cash if your engine doesn't require them. Again, short of changing the static compression ratio or running too high a boost level, there's not much that could require a Contour to run more than pump premium.
