1. Yes 2. Yes; 3 bolts, 1 plug, & a cable
FYI: In the Ford TSP, the silver box is called an IMRC electric actuator. Also, when you look up the IMRC (in the Ford TSP), they show pictures of the lower intake manifold.

Intake Manifold Runner ControlNot Intake Manifold Runners or Intake Manifold or Secondary Linkage or Secondary Rods or Secondary Plates or even Intake Manifold Runner Cable. The silver box is the IMRC. It is actuated by the PCM.

No argument, just letting you know what the Ford TSP says. When I looked up IMRC in the TSP, they show pictures of the lower intake manifold. They even have a step in the IMRC removal procedure that associates the IMRC w/ the LIM: "Remove lower intake manifold (IMRC) from cylinder heads" It wasn't until I found a section labeled "Electric Actuator and Cable Assembly" that I found a diagram of the silver box w/ the words "Electric Actuator and Cable Assy" next to it. It seems that they have different terminology in the TSP.
