Well if Terry (or anyone else who knows the answer) reads this, is it worth having it done at the dealer? There isn't a SVT dealer anywhere near me. So would it better to be done by a mechanic that I know and trust (and possibly pay extra $$ labor) or go to the dealership? Is it really something thats pretty basic?

Also to be honest I still don't REALLY know what the DMD is... Is it just a new bolt or what?

How do you know what a 75mm MAF is and not know what a crank pulley is ??????Yeah, you heard me right its just a crank pulley with extra weight on the end, that helps prevent crank whip!!!!

Yeah I know what a 75mm MAF is, but I didn't know that the DMD was a crank pully. It's not that I don't know what a crank pully is, I just didn't know that that is what the DMD is.

Your mechanic can do it for you, there is no need to go to the dealer. It is a very easy task that requires no special tooling other than those things listed in the How-To (install a DMD)

This how to write up is very good and has all the information you will need.

I think I might be jumping on this band wagon as well. This sounds very interesting to me, and something that might actually be worth while. I do not race my car, or invest in high performance upgrades. My interest in this is that I want to try to "refine", or smooth out the ride, of my car. Does everyone agree that this would do such? The only other problem I may see with this is that I'm not sure if I can personally do this task. I see that it requires tools that I don't have. With this in mind, would it still be worth the cost if I had to pay a mechanic 50 bucks for an hours worth of labor?

Heh heh heh...I just PM'd Terry. I'm jumping on the wagon, too.
For those who want to do it themselves, but don't want to buy the tools, Autozone (usually) loans tools out. I'm willing to wager that they have pully pullers.

That parts list in the How to, does that contain everything you need except the acctual DMD it'self? Can you get it from the dealer? Can you get it in Canada?
