No Brian its not about balance at all it's about those who are customers thinking that attacking 'suppliers' is fair game.I dont see many pics posted of cars that breakdown after dealers work etc and FWIW this customer is the first repair we have had in 12 months...I'm damm pround of that record......with or without your endorsment!

Okay, since this is being discussed in a public forum, I am left with two questions:

1) the "stolen" DMD, was that one of the first batch of auctioned ones? Are there more stolen DMD's running around? It doesn't really matter, just curious.

2) Didn't the first guy with a bulldog blow the same line in quesstion in a parking lot while waiting to get his car smogged? And, didn't you upgrade the lines after that Terry. (Or did the same customer break lines twice, then and again on the road from spring zing?)

I know it's none of my concern, but since this is a public forum you've got my curiousity up.

The customer had one of his first lines go in the smog test,was sent some 'jumpers' of the new material and I said,as he was coming to SZ,that I would upgrade all the lines INSIDE the trans aswell(with same mtl as Ricks) and asked the customer to get here as early as possibe with the car as the engine and trans had to come out.Customer was not here early and I was given only 2 days to do the upgrade and fit oil cooler etc...not enough time to pull strip and upgrade,customer would not leave car (the trans upgrade was a 'no charge' offer),hence the lines still had part of the old mtl(which blew on the way home) Had the customer given me the time he would have had the same trans level as Rick Blackford.It was not as if he did't have a hack to drive on return home and could have got a lift bac.I offered to meet him 1/2 way with his car after SZ etc....on a later conversation with customer he was concerned that as it was a free repair he was not in 'control' of the repair ie no cash changing hand.The final repair was done free of charge and a refund given.I know how long mods etc take but it appears that I was expected to work a few '24 hr' days to effect the repair in his timeframe...sorry no can do....

How many times do I have to tell you I'm not talking about the freaking transmisison, or the repairs of it!!!!!!!!!!! I'm talking about you dragging him through the mud on an issue UNRELATED to the transmissions!!! ie the DMD he had and its origin. If you want to answer the "attacks" on you and your business, go for it, be my guest, but stick to that issue, and don't bring up stuff that has nothing to do with the transmisison issue. I don't know how I can make that any clearer.

I know you are pissed at this customer, and I know he is pissed at you over tihs whole transmission issue, but you are the only one intentionally dragging the other's name through the mud because you are pissed, highly unprofessional, IMHO. This customer has requested those that know about the trans issue to not say a word, because it is between you and him.

As far as your repair record, fantastic, great for you, but that is NOT what I'm talking about, and I don't know why you can't see that.

This customer has not attacked you, at the very least not publicly, nor has he asked anyone else to, and for you to suggest otherwise is completely unprofessional. You claim he has attacked you "a supplier" even though he hasn't, and then you turn around and attack him over somehting not even related to the transmission argument.

Brian, if what you say is correct why wasn't such a fuss made by the customer or his 'knowing friends' when his first DMD was 'loose', no coverage for his repair re dealer replace stoc damper, or refund of cost of DMD but on the trans issue it was made 'public', I consider that a snipe...if the customer,directly or indirectly wants to throw mud at me then I reserve the right to throw some back on issues he has chosen NOT to make public...hence the reference to DMD's....

The customer arrived early for SZ, before anyone else...being without his car for 3.5 days. As per our conversation in the parking lot at the Clarion Saturday night, before the banquet, when the car was returned.....The lines were upgraded, however the lines going inside the trans were not. The customer was told that they would be cut close enough that a join would be sufficient and they would withstand the heat. Obviously they didn't. This was general knowledge before anything hit the fan.

The DMD was brough up at SZ, anyone remember little Kristen? She got all in a huff and tore a$$ out of the parking lot because her "boy" doesn't sell stolen parts. There's a difference between a hundred dollar part and a few thousand dollar part though!

And lets not forget beign asked to "call back later" as we were all standing on the side of the highway, stranded. That was good for a few laughs!

Get towed back to BUMFUK,MI and have me follow him because he is a great friend that would have done the same for me. Get there at 12:00 midnight and you stay in your house and not even come outside to say Hey (Customer) I'm sorry for what happen i'll get on it as soon as possible.

Why were there OLD hoses and NEW hoses on there?
Why does rick's tranny look good and (Customer) tranny look like ****?

During the phone call was it I'll give you a new tranny and thats it you whipe your hands clean with this customer?

Do the job right was it you said by installing the Hoses inside the tranny?

Sorry can't remember door #3 Remind me?

What was the outcome and how much did the customer spend and how much did you give him back?

Do you know how much a tow costs from Toledo,OH back to your BOONDOCKS? GUESS!! Was he reimbursed or did he split the tow with you? did you make any effort to split it? Don't tell me storage either!

If you thought you were not competent enough or you thought maybe your work wouldn't hold up to any kind of abuse then why did you take HIS MONEY (HOW MUCH)$$$$$$

You have no idea how to deal with a customer!!

Customer chose to come to Mi ,I didn't force him...and no I wont get out of bed to greet you...if you dont get 24hr service from a Ford dealer why should you expect it from me...I'll call you up at home late at night when my software crashes eh..I dont think so!!!!!!

Terry,

Tell me that you see us as something more than potential customers. How about friendship and comradery being part of why you're on the CEG.

Your last post makes it seem like you made a concious decision to contiue sleeping while a loyal and trusting customer sat outside your door waiting for help.

Take a lesson from Micah on personal sacrifice in getting a job done right. Truly a model CEGer!
