I got on the gas in second last night and it was like going no where.There was no power at all.Before I would get a hesitation at about 4500 rpm.Now it just holds back the whole time.What the HELL is going on.Would it be the crappy Bosch +4 plug I put in.I'm getting pissed,I just want to run it off a cliff.Please HELP.

IIRC, we're not supposed to use b+4's in our cars. However I could be wrong, I am only a lowly zetec'er.

another suggestion.. you mentioned 4500rpms, and holding back.. sounds like it could be plugged cats or closed secondaries.

IMRC controller cause this.Mines fuped right now and falls flat at 5Krpm.No cel either.

How much is that to fix.If that was it would the check engine light come on.Also would it be covered under an extended warranty.

You can check IRMC easily. CAr in neutral, E-Brake on, rev engine (by hand, under hood), you can see the imrc lever on the rod sticking out of the head move. No Move, NO good.

It's located under the Throttle body area..

I got one from BIll for around $100.It seems like it would definetly be covered under warranty.My check enginge light(CEL)came on when they first messed up,stuck open,but now there stuck closed and no CEL.

replace the crappy +4's!


2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

Bosch Platinum +4s are fine in my Duratec.
I replaced the wires with Ford MotorSport wires at the same time I replaced the plugs.
I have no complaints about them.

Trust me I plan on replacing them as soon as I get the money.I plan on going with the autolites Double Plats #APP764.Is this a good Idea.

I tried what you said and it moves when the rpm's get high is that normal or is it suppose to open as soon as I begin to rev the engine?
