I've experimented around with hoses to bring cold air in from the bumper area and I think it's pretty effective, especially for mid and upper end pull. My setup runs 2 1/2" shopvac hose up through the fenderwell and into the inner cone of a S&B powerstack filter. When you consider you can do this mod for under $25, it's well worth it. There are some older pics im my sig/link.

There are some older pics im my sig/link. I did the same thing, but I actually disconnected the hose because I "felt" like I lost some bottom end torque. Almost felt like turbo lag. But when it got over 4000 RPM, it was a monster all the way to redline. I did leave the hose in place to dump cold air directly in front of the air filter, though. I think it's doing a good job...

CAM2 at night do you get alittle heat soak from your headlights generating heat?
