Ok, so I just finished reading SF-SVT's post. I did notice when I installed the pass. rotor/caliper, that there was some drag, but I thought it was normal, since there always a bit of drag, even on my OE rotors/calipers. I think we should get a bunch of shims, starting from 1mm to 4mm, in .5mm increments. We (Greatone and I) will let everyone know what shims we needed to use, if any at all.
Or, if SF-SVT beats us again, he'll let everyone know.

I'm thinking you guys can't read.... no MM.
Let's do this again. It's .010" and .015" and .030" each.
You want 3mm of clearance then you do the math. The rest of the machinist world works in the inch system and the shims are mfg. as such.

ok, simmer down now...you never said inches only. My bad. Anyway, I come up with 3 .030" shims and 1 .010" (i'd get 6 of each incase i need to make an adjustment) shim for the clearance SF-SVT specified. So the question must be posed, SF-SVT are you sure of your measurements? And Todd, you don't see any pitfall with using multiple shims vs. one solid piece of metal do you? Thanks guys.

Another Update... i have some of the pics here: myfamily.com user name: ceguser pswd: cegview OH. the **.15" = 3.81mm** was a typo on my part. It was late when I typed the post. It 'should' have said... 0.115" ~ 2.921mm I used mechanical calipers to make the measurements. (will have pics up shortly) From what I have measured, I'd need a 0.118" spacer. (~3mm) I've ordered the spacers from Todd. I have ordered extra shims to make 0.110, 0.115, 0.120, 0.125. I'll try the 0.115" first to see how that fits. Just remember this is what I have found on my year car. Just be careful, it may be different for other year cars! Also Todd brought up a good point.. with the shims added.. Make sure the bolt threads have enough to grip on to.. Oh. i did have a chance to look at the brake pads. The FSVT pads seem to be the late model contique pad with more material. The pad tabs looks the same. (theres a pic of it on the link) When i have more pics and/or the brakes working i'll keep everyone updated.

I just got off the phone with Ford cataloging, and I was told that the front bolts for the FSVT caliper and the CSVT are the SAME. You can use your existing bolts for the caliper swap.

No you can't..and you can't use the FSVT bolts either. Speaking with Chris A. and Bill Jenkins, the bolts we ordered are just as long as the regular focus bolts..meaning they are too short. Bill is trying to figure out now what bolts Ford is using on the FSVT.

Ok...new info, SVT Contour and SVT Focus bolts are THE SAME...but because we need to use spacers longer bolts are desireable. Bill is still looking for us.

Ok.. another update.. and some more pics! I agree with 'TheGreatOne' the C/FSVT bolts are the same. With the shims you'll need to make up about 0.105" of length. I measured the stock bolts, they measured 1.635" or 41.5mm. The 0.105" added we'd need a bolt about 1.740" (44.2mm) There is a pic of this gap..(pics 100-0039/40) Another note.. the shims i measured of 0.115" might an additional 0.010". I measured 0.115" of space on the outside of bracket and 0.130" on the inside of the bracket. (pics 100-0034/35) It should make the gap of 0.130" -> 0.120" and the 0.115" -> 0.125" But i could be nit picking... It's pretty much centered. I just wanted more clearance on the outside of the bracket. This is because of the little extra 'nub' on the outside of the bracket. (pic mvc-12f) I'm waiting for the SS brake lines to come in so i can test if they fit on the FSVT calipers. If they do i'll install everything and have more pics up.

FYI, I am investigating finding a similar Ford bolt w/ the additional length on it that can be used for this.
btw, SF-SVT, when you measured it, you measured the length of the entire bolt, right? the part # I have tells me it is a M12x30 bolt, or that it is 30mm long (on the threaded portion). So basically, I'm looking for the same bolt, w/ a 33-35mm thread length. I'll let you guys know what I can find.
