Thanks for looking Rara.
Yes, length i measured is the whole bolt. Do you know what the thread pitch is? (1.25?) That is something I forgot to check when i had the bolt off. I'm try to find an aftermarket SS one that is a Grade 10 in that length.

Brian found some bolts for us. Bill is looking into prices and availability of the parts. Stay tuned!

Just remember this is what I have found on my year car. Just be careful, it may be different for other year cars!

So, Brian has found and Bill has sourced the longer bolts, 35mm thread length. I just found a machine shop that can make the shims out of SS, I'm not sure if grade 10 is good enough, but the owner/machinist will let me know.

SF-SVT, let me make sure I understand this:

0.110? = 2.794mm
0.115? = 2.921mm
0.118? = 2.9972mm IDEAL
0.120? = 3.048mm
0.125? = 3.175mm

I asked the shop to make me these shims and Bill may/will be ordering enough sets to make a 'grab-bag' of shims, which he will include in the purchase of the rotors/calipers, at an additional cost. From what I was told to expect, about $10-$15, since they will be custom made, if they can source the proper material.

I would prefer to only use 1 or even 2 shims, for safety's sake. Let me know and I can ask them to go ahead with the shims.

Yes the 0.118" or 0.120" would be fine.. that would be pretty much on. I think added the rest of the shim to the caliper to make 0.130" That put a little more space on side of the bracket where the rotor is facing the wheel. (outside face of bracket?) There was that slight 'excess' of material on the 'outside' of the bracket i wanted to clear.

Ok that will be 10 - 15 buck extra for a set of shims? not one?

Ok thanks

Sorry, still waiting on the longer bolts from Bill. I will update once I get them on the car.

I saw this in the gallery:

Description: Test fit of 17" wheel on FSVT brakes

This is a mistake right? The FSVT brakes will fit under a std 16" CSVT wheel right?

Thanks

If you read all the posts in this, yes they will fit, but require shimming of the caliper mounts to have clearance of the steering knuckle assembly. I think that's where the issues are...
