Why don't you look into flying.. I am sure you can cruise around with some of us. It will be a blast. Just think, pay a little more. You don't have to drive 40 hours and you can get to see Chicago. Plus you get home fast!
My wife and I are considering it for Cougarfest because of the 20 hours drive one way. If we have enough money we just may do it that way. Go to cougarfest one day and the beach and rafting another and fly home.
