The pickings are slim, but I wouldn't say "only":

Maxima SE (255hp) (6-speed)
Altima SE (240hp)
Stratus R/T (200hp)
Passat GLS (190hp)

And in a higher price bracket:

G35 (260hp) (6-spd available later)
LS6 (221hp)
A4 3.0 (220hp)
IS300 (215hp)

Currently: '00 Altima SE and '02 Maxima SE

Coming up: '03 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6-speed

Before I got the SVT I was looking at Strati. Not new ones but more affordable used ones. Well, no V6 and MTX. I never saw an I4 with MTX either. Just returned rental cars with lots of miles. But that's what got me into the Contour and that's fine by me. What car would I get next? '71 Roadrunner or GTX with 4 speed and big block. laugh

Hmm...if I could find one, a supra TT (94-97)

Or, a 1996 Impala SS

Or a camaro or Firebird - all of which I would eventually turbo, except the Impala...Blower only.

Don't get me wrong, I love the handling of the SVT and it by all means makes the car, but I could live without it if I could experience the feeling of mind numbing acceleration every day laugh

The IS300 5spd is supposed to be VERY nice. If I could afford a car in the low 30s, I'd definitely consider one.

Don't forget, that Altima is available with a manual, too. smile If it weren't for the WRX, the Altima SE 5spd (or is it 6spd???) would be my easy pick for the $23-28K range. If I were shopping for a car in that price bracket, while I'd probably go with the WRX, I'd still want to test drive:

Altima SE 5spd
Mercedes C-class w/supercharger and 6spd
Camaro Z28 SS 6spd
Used BMWs if I find any reasonably priced (ha!)

...I think that's it. Still love my SVT, though. smile Oh! Cobra, duh. Probably 1-2 years old though, to keep the price mid-20s.
