I say do regular maintenance work regularly and if the parts are upgradeable to higher performance parts than do it when peforming the maintenance work.. then do things as you can afford them and find them. I am in the middle of doing handling, performance, and aesthetics at the same time,, as well as 80,000 mile maintenance.
