I would upgrade as your 'wear' parts need replacing. For example, don't worry about the brakes until they need replacing...unless you are auto crossing regularly now. You will find that any upgrade will probably cost you less than the retail Ford price for the OEM part. You may want to do some bolt on performance pieces yourself (air intake, exhaust)....Finally, the handling aspects (lowering with new springs, struts and sway bar) can be done relatively inexpensively ....say $2,000 CDN ....
