I'm going to put a S2000 motor in a MG. Good idea, no?

This will fly. With a Buick V8, they only made 170hp. I just can't decide between the MGB GT:

...or the MGA coupe:

BTW, the front spoiler on that first shot is very aftermarket.

The choice of engine may have changed to a Ford 281. We're still not sure, yet.

if your going to go with the 4.6 you might as well go all out and get a cobra eninge.an MGB with 390hp, that would be friggin cool.

GT engines are considerably cheaper... especially than a new Cobra engine. But I like the way you think.

Here's a good 281 motor.

The F20C from a S2000 would be ideal, as it's light and very powerful. They're just hard to find and quite spendy. My best bet would be to find a wrecked S2K, pull the motor and ditch the car. We'll see. I think my friend and I are serious about this.

Here's a good deal on a project MGB GT.

MGAs are definately cool, and a tad on the more rare side. I would have a hard time doing a custom/resto thing like that on a hard core classic such as the A.

On the other hand, MGBs cna be had a dime a dozen, while the BGTs are bit more rare, its still a MGB and not as worthy.

I work for www.victoriabritish.com,(catalogs are free)we sell resto parts for both cars you just mentioned and a dozen other British roadsters from Triumphs to the classic Austin Healy.

Pick up this Oldsmobile IRL engine on eBay, throw that biatch in a MGBGT with a custom interior and you got a definate showstopper!
