found this article doing a little midnight searching...

custom SVT article

"A hopped-up Ford sticks out
Since most of the cars are of Japanese brands, 23-year-old Shaun Mackenzie??s ride stands out like a sore thumb.

This silver Ford SVT Contour owned by Shaun Mackenzie proves import fever isn??t just for the Japanese and European brands. (Andrew Luu photo)
Mackenzie??s car doesn??t wear a Japanese emblem nor a European badge, but a homegrown oval blue Ford insignia.

He drives a 1998 Ford Contour SVT (Special Vehicles Team, Ford??s racing division), whose introduction by Ford into the North America market was a direct result of the growing popularity of the import scene.

??It??s original,? Mackenzie said. ??I??ve only ever seen one other SVT done up.?

Mackenzie owns his own shop in Burlington called Under World Customs, and there he does the work himself.

Unlike much of the competition from the east, his Contour SVT has not two, but four doors and a look that will have you wondering exactly what car it is.

??I wanted something different, something that hasn??t been done before,? he said. ??I??ve always liked the Contour, so I bought one.?

On the outside Mackenzie has filled in all the door handles and moldings --??shaved,? as it is called in the industry -- and relies on keyless entry which props the door open with a touch of a button. Eighteen-inch chrome rims complete the exterior, while the interior has been upgraded with silver trim and a stereo system.

The utility of the trunk has been sacrificed in the name of music. In the back you??ll find four, 10-inch subwoofers and two amplifiers supplying body-numbing bass.
Aside from that his ride is mostly stock. The engine hasn??t been touched but Mackenzie said he is just about to get started.

??I want to do the interior up some more, add a DVD system and possibly a Saleen body kit,? he said. ??Also I??m looking to add a turbo or supercharger. Then possibly an entire paint change to purple or blue.?

Mackenzie has many plans for his Contour and is proof that import and domestic fever isn??t about to die down soon.

Hod-rodding of the 1960s has been reborn and it is writing a new chapter in automotive history. So hold on, it??s going to be a long ride."

Thats ohhhhhhhhhhhhh so nice. Hard to tell those wheels are chrome in the picture. It makes me think that gun metal wheels would look saweet on a silver frost tour.
