I'm guessing it's your cat. Is the engine feel like it's missing? You might have lost a coil pack and only running on 4 or 5 cylinders. Doesn't really sound like that though. The cat is relatively cheap compared to coil work. Not hard to replace the spark plugs real quick either. Good luck.
