Dude, you need to post your baloney stuff on a Pontiac site. Yes, they stopped making your car to produce the AZTEC. THe Aztec??????? What is an Aztec???

my S/E 6000 is a limited production car also, there were only 140 AWDs in 1988. Since when is $23,000 so great for a car price? The average new car now is well over 26. Also, your SVT may have been 23,000, but that's still $7000 less than what my 6000 was when it was brand new. Also, they didnt quit making the 6000 because it was replaced by anything (and I dont know how the HELL you think the Aztek replaced it, the last 6000 was 1991, the first Aztek was 2000) but I guess you could say that it was indirectly replaced by the Grand Prix, since the first 4-door GP was 1989. And, you shouldnt talk, do you know what the Contour was replaced by? the Focus. The Focus and the Escape. I can safely say that the ConTique is 10X better than the Focus, but still...

I hate ta burst your bubble there little brother, but I spent many years working for a Pontiac dealer as sales mgr. And when we saw a 'blue hair' come on the lot, the FIRST car we tried to shove them into was the A bodied cars (Pontiac 6000, Chevrolet celebrity, etc). First because it was a grandma's car, and second because Pontiac was offering GIANT spiffs to any salesman who could unload one. The Gran Prix wasn't replacement for the 6000, it was a whole different car. The 2.8 liter 6000 couldn't get out of it's own way, so GM bored the engine to 3.1 liters to fake everyone into thinking it was a real car, which it wasn't. It was a turd, and it is a turd. Rebadging them as STE was the biggest joke in the industry and just another reason GMC is losing market share. Collectible ? Ha, put it up for sale for $6K and see how many people call, and don't hold your breath. You try and bring that pig in a poke in on trade and I'll hit you with $500 trade-in, but I'd rather not have it. Cause it'll sit on the lot til I get another blue hair in.
