i work for fedex and we just retired one of our old ford econoline vans...i believe it had 425 or 450k on it...it still ran fine when it was sold, our mechanic said he'd put a couple alternators and a starter or 2 on it,but other than that no problems at all...and god knows that thing was dogged all to hell and back,i should know i helped dog it some myself....that thing was a work horse...but i forgot ford doesn't make anything that lasts a long time....and cool blue if your comments about your stique and tours in general aren't bashing i'd like to know what is??????

Alright, sure, I "bashed" my Mystique...right. Why don't we keep the meaning of what I say to me. One, there's some other person on here, I cant remember the name exact, that has a whole web page on his Mystique, it's white. Notice how theres a fairly LARGE paragraph on things that he dosent like about the car, now are you going to track him down and totally bash him for bashing his car? Don't get mad at me for speaking the truth. The truth is that the Contour is not a very high-quality car, it squeeks, rattles, etc...the interior is made from low-quality materials, although the seat cloth is much nicer than other cloth-covered seats. There's alot about that car that feels cheap. Although there's alot on the car that much higher priced cars have like traction control and 10-way power front seats, it's still low quality. And for me, the back seat is way too small. The 6000 rides better and for Hockey, I end up driving alot, have you ever tried to fit 5 6' guys in a ConTique? It's not gonna happen. The 6000 is a much more comfortable car, has much higher quality, and can fit 5 people in it more comfortably...and the 6000 has a better exhaust note, nice deep and throaty (Does the Mystique even HAVE an exhaust note??) but all in all, theyre BOTH nice cars, and they both have their own distinctive personality. The 6000 is more luxury and technology and quality, the Mystique is more bare-bones sporty. I like 'em both

I was trying to explain to my girlfriend why I spent so much time on the computer yesterday. I told her you have to tell me what you think of these pics. As I logged into CEG, the pics were removed. Please repost the pics or let me know where I could find a picture of the L.E.D. display for the 1990 POntiac 6000.

Per request I'll move them back. It's nice having a mapped network drive to your outside web space (from the server). I just wanted the car-flaming to end, but it appears that won't happen anyway.
P.S. Moonlight ... you DO have a Mystique too, right? Where are the pics??!

Nobody has ever told me that. I guess I'm a one percenter. But what would I do if 30 people told me that? I'd pick one and let them drive it. Then they'd want one. But people come on, you are arguing with a 15 year old. A spoiled 15 year old. Nuff said.

Alright sure...so you blatantly lie and think noone will notice. Man, you just painted yourself into a corner and you can't get out. Why don't you just sit down and shut up? No, I'm not going to go hunt down the other person, because i've never seen his site..and I've never seen him here flat out insulting the cars we drive. If you think your car is cheap, go to a pontiac site and telk about it there...cause noone here wants to hear about it. I'm not mad at you for speaking the truth, I'm mad at you for the total lack of truth to any of your statements. And your complete un willingness to drop it already.... In reply to:
No, it's not that way. I dont like my car, then hate it the next minute.
Man make up your mind and go home

Dude, you need to post your baloney stuff on a Pontiac site. Yes, they stopped making your car to produce the AZTEC. THe Aztec??????? What is an Aztec???
my S/E 6000 is a limited production car also, there were only 140 AWDs in 1988. Since when is $23,000 so great for a car price? The average new car now is well over 26. Also, your SVT may have been 23,000, but that's still $7000 less than what my 6000 was when it was brand new. Also, they didnt quit making the 6000 because it was replaced by anything (and I dont know how the HELL you think the Aztek replaced it, the last 6000 was 1991, the first Aztek was 2000) but I guess you could say that it was indirectly replaced by the Grand Prix, since the first 4-door GP was 1989. And, you shouldnt talk, do you know what the Contour was replaced by? the Focus. The Focus and the Escape. I can safely say that the ConTique is 10X better than the Focus, but still...
I hate ta burst your bubble there little brother, but I spent many years working for a Pontiac dealer as sales mgr. And when we saw a 'blue hair' come on the lot, the FIRST car we tried to shove them into was the A bodied cars (Pontiac 6000, Chevrolet celebrity, etc). First because it was a grandma's car, and second because Pontiac was offering GIANT spiffs to any salesman who could unload one. The Gran Prix wasn't replacement for the 6000, it was a whole different car. The 2.8 liter 6000 couldn't get out of it's own way, so GM bored the engine to 3.1 liters to fake everyone into thinking it was a real car, which it wasn't. It was a turd, and it is a turd. Rebadging them as STE was the biggest joke in the industry and just another reason GMC is losing market share. Collectible ? Ha, put it up for sale for $6K and see how many people call, and don't hold your breath. You try and bring that pig in a poke in on trade and I'll hit you with $500 trade-in, but I'd rather not have it. Cause it'll sit on the lot til I get another blue hair in.
