personally, i think that was all chrissilversvt's fault for starting the whole thing by saying the 6000's high points were none and lows were it was a POS. after that he continued to be as immature as he said cool blue was. all of you get so mad and upset online by what others are saying and you all need to settle the F*%K down

If I read that article correct, the 6000 is NOT AWD, it is 4WD.

Aus, it's AWD. When it detects the front wheels slipping, it send power to the rear wheels. Although there's a button in the center console that locks the center differential so it guarantees that atleast one front wheel and one rear wheel grip. Also, Id like to set a few things straight. Someone asked me to post a few pix of my S/E, which I did. It surprised alot of you because expected a normal 6000. but alot of you said yourselves that it was a nice car, and I thank you for that. However, When that other retard said it had no high points, and all low points, that's when I was pissed. I'm not one who tollerates someone dissing my car. My cars are like my children, I like them both equally. They both have faults (6000 has CRAPPY gas milage, Mystique has CRAPPY build quality). Id like to know what you would do if 30 people said your Contour was a POS, which Im sure 99% of Contour owners have had that happen. Why? Because people dont know much about the Contour. Well, that's exactly like what you are doing to me. You dont know anything about the car, so how do you think that you have any reason to talk? And that picture of a BASE 6000 with the caption "lean mean driving machine"...what do you think a 120hp Contour GL is? I'd just like to make you guys think about what you have done, and maybe you'll realize that you're getting mad at me for acting immature, when in reality, its YOU that are immature. You are talking about a car that you know nothing about, much like when people talk about Contours.

excuse me ,moron but if you didn't notice there were 3 pages or more of other people ripping his car before i said anything...how do you figure i started it???read the whole post before you chime in with a stupid comment...i was just joking around calling his car a pos...i was just poking fun at him...all the rest of my posts were made to defend the contour and svt from his bashing...why don't you read everything and comprehend what you read before you make stupid comments.....

Actually Chris, people were complimenting the car, you, were not. Again, someone talking about a car that they know nothing about, just like when those Honda owners talk about your Contours.

Just for the record other than little pecs at your car (all in good fun, you took your shots too) everything I posted here was correct. I know alot about your car as my friend drove a nearly identical car with a crummier motor. It had the air pump, it had the wierd dash, it had the calculator steering wheel. It's just that you decided to make untrue statements about the car that needed correcting and clearing up, like your torque spec, and the purpose of the load leveling suspension (similar to the one on the Caravan, advanced for a car in the early 90s for sure) You even posted an article for us which explains that the car is slow. Then you went on with your statements about how the Focus is the Contour's replacement even though they were both made in 2000, and 2001. Your statement about the Contour being 10x better than a Focus simply proved that you aren't aware of the car's capabilities. All joking aside, your car was a decent, although poor performing car in 1990, but to compare a car built on a platform from the early 80s with a pushrod V6 to a truly modern car like the Contour with it's all alluminum DOHC V6 is just silly. It will always be slower and handle more poorly. That's evolution. There will always be the rare performance gems like the Galant VR4, or the Dodge Spirit R/T, who were very brisk performers with thier DOHC Turbo I4s. The 6000 you drive isn't like that though. It is a curiosity that nobody would really take note of or really even look for. I'm sure we can all relate to how much you like the car, I still enjoy jumpimg into the Jetta and scooting around in it despite the 40 degree body roll and no AC, but I know that that car will never be as good as a modern car and can accept that (until I put a 1.8T in it and make myself a sleeper)
I would advise you to try to learn from others here as there is alot of knowledge here to share.
