140 hp/180 ft-lb of torque (your figure is a little off), 3.1L V6 and AWD, it was decent,
mind you with all the added AWD weight the car was never very fast. The 3.1 was an improvement over the 2.8L for sure. My buddie's goosed (6000 STE) was a dog...
Performance:
Number of Cylinders:6
Engine Size: 3.1 liters
Engine Type: V6
Horsepower: 140 hp
Max Horsepower: 4800 rpm
Torque: 180 ft-lbs.
Max Torque: 3200 rpm
Drive Type: AWD
Turning Circle: 38.5 ft.

No, he was correct on the 140hp figure, although the 3100 never made 225 ft-lbs. According to C/D, R&T, Edmunds, and Trader the version he has was 140/180 which is quite respectable for a GM pushrod V6 from the 80s/ early 90s. Still if it is outperforming the mystique at freeway speeds you need to get your Mystique looked at (I am not slamming here, I am quite serious, you may be experiencing the same secondaries problem I had, which turned the car into a freeway turtle. After I got the secondaries working correctly the difference was almost scary)
Obviously I was poking fun earlier about the dash and steering wheel but really the car is not as fast as you are saying.

Kerry, I hate to burst your bubble but mine is a 1990, not 1983. Different engine, different transmission, different everything. 1989+ were 4 speeds. Also, the only AWDs were 1988 (140), 1989 (~1400) and 1990 (~1000). 13K car? Double that then add a few more K. IIRC, the sticker price on ours was $29,7XX in November 1989 when my mom bought it.
