Well yeah, I would think it would sound bad if you remove BOTH the res AND the muffler. Normally its one or the other, but not both. I would get a high flow muffler and put it where the res was. Then you should be fine. Cherry bombs aren't that good and don't last long (burn out).

That sounds good. Actually, anything would flow better then a stock res!! hehe. Can't go wrong with magnaflow.

I agree with these guys. Anything with glass in it is going to burn up in no time. After that it back to the 'ol 'rock in a pop can' rasp! Magnaflow is a good choice.

I did glasspacks last week- unhappy with it and going with magnaflow + glasspacks this week . Where is it that they are $39? As far as burning out...the things cost 10-15 bucks (glasspacks) no big loss there. It might be possible to put a glasspack in the res spot and have pipe run back to the back. I am trying that while I look for a magnaflow I can afford.

I'm just about ready to replace my resonator on my 98 SVT with a rather large glasspack.......
Has anyone done this??? I want some volume but also a nice tone........seems like a cheap enough mod seeing how I already have the glasspack
Any Thoughts?? I still have the stock SVT mufflers intact.... Opinions please!

THanks,
Jason
