You want irony on water restrictions? My county is in a "Drought Warning", meaning the state is only trying to attain a voluntary 10-15% reduction in water usage. Problem: I live in an apartment with no hose hookup.

So, the in-laws live in another county in the same status as mine. Except I can't get in and out of their driveway without killing sideskirts (the one I am finally replacing got Hit #2 there, #3 finally killed it recently).

Mom's house has a hose and a driveway spot I can navigate. Oh wait, she's under mandatory water restrictions. I can only go to her house on the 2nd and 4th Sat/Sun of the month. Except I can never seem to get a free day those weekends. And that only gives me
5 minutes of hose time for the total job, which really isn't enough to get it completely rinsed.

So, I go to self-wash places to keep the car clean. My tip: Use the pressure hose on the foamy brush before you use it. My hope is that it gets the majority of the dirt off it. I know I hit my wheels with the brush last, thus leaving it covered in brake dust for the next sucker. (I am especially happy when some dumb ricer is next in line. I actually told a guy with a BMW to make sure he did that before I pulled out of the stall so he didn't inherit my brake dust all over his car.)
And, my car is curently running arouns sans the passenger skirt; waiting for the new one to come in and get painted. Add all the trash that has built up with 4 serious road trips since the last full clean. Add the perma-bash on my rear bumper (if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about) and the car looks a little abused.
Hey, at least Blackstone Labs just gave the parts that count a clean bill of health!

Even added a note about "excellent oil filtration" - K&N Performance Gold rulz yo! Now I just need to find a cheap junkyard LH Exhaust Manifold ...
