I was going to Dick's Sporting Goods yesterday at the Wilton Mall in Saratoga, and as I was looking for a parking spot, I saw a familiar-looking back end of a car sticking out of a parking spot - another red SVT! I found a nearby spot, and hopped out to look as I walked toward the mall.

Oh, man - was this car ever in sorry shape! It was a '99 T-red with the prairie tan interior, and it looked awful.

First, someone had attached coffee can-type exhaust tips, which would have looked awful under normal circumstances, but the stainless steel was all dull and corroded - and sooty, too. The car hadn't been washed in ages - the brake dust was so caked into the edges of the rims that they were positively black.

The interior was a mess - I don't think it had ever been cleaned, and the windows had smudge marks all over the inside - it looked like a dog had been smooshing his wet nose all over the inside of the windows.

To top it all off, there was junk all over the inside of the car - McDonald's wrappers, newspapers, etc.

What a mess. Very discouraging to see.
