This low compression ratio you speak of is the same 10:1 as most SVT's. With 00 SVT's having 10.25:1 & normal Duratec's 9.7:1

Personally I would jump on the extra compression bandwagon and ride the SVT cams like they should be ridden. Of course I have no plans for forced induction ever.
