Oh brother. The search feature works just fine as long as you specify the forum to search in. I had DSL and am using Dialup right now and it still works quick enough. The reason people will say to use search instead of giving an answer is simple. A topic, for example, such as an intake has been covered so much that it will benefit finding out what all has been said about it. Kramb: Check you state for legal tint limits. Usually around 35% for front windows. Mods include intake (KKM, KN, AFE, etc), exhaust (Bassani, Borla, Brullen, custom), Vortech S/C, soon to come turbo, 3L conversion, etc. Sites: www.spmotorsports.com , www.batinc.com , www.ctamotorsports.com , and others i can't think of right now. If you're interested in an exhaust, type in exhaust in the search and specify the correct forum to get all the opinions that have been said about what's available. The same goes for any other mod you might have a question about.

Nice spelling and grammar there genius. Who is the "impaired" one? But it is somewhat cumbersom by design. If i didnt have DSL it would take days for the search to complets its cycle. Nice sentence there again, Rain Man. Try searching one thing at a time then. Narrow it down. Use specific words. Do subject only. This forum is to help and learn. Right, and I am helping someone to learn to use the resources made readily available to them. If someone ask a question why reply with a (TRY THE SEARCH)? Why not?? Why not simply answer the question. But then again if you dont know the answer how could you possibly answer huh ? Um, ok..... Don't know the answer to what? Which mod to do? That is an opinionated question without a "correct" answer. Who is to say my opinion is any more right than the next guy's? Point made ! :p
Yeah, now put your hat back on and cover your point back up.

Break this down, Gator: You just wasted one whole minute of my day with the above post. What a bunch of useless reading material. It's one thing to respond with a quote, it's another to be a sarcastic punk and break down someone's post fragment-by-fragment. No wonder you won't let anyone rate you. Try using those immaculate typing and spelling skills to help someone. :p

What a bunch of useless reading material. Yet you managed to read it ALL. Guess that make you about as lame. It's one thing to respond with a quote, it's another to be a sarcastic punk and break down someone's post fragment-by-fragment. Nah, it is a way of covering all bases. Instead of dancing around questions, or leaving stuff up in the air, I choose to address the issues at hand. Unlike some people. No wonder you won't let anyone rate you. Doesn't matter who #1 on the charts is, you might like someone else.
Go back to the rock you crawled out from under. You have been here a whole month and have already decided that the search sucks, so there is no need for me to tell you anything. You know it all. Fekking n00b.

This forum is to help and learn. If someone ask a question why reply with a (TRY THE SEARCH)? Why not simply answer the question. But then again if you dont know the answer how could you possibly answer huh ? Search single forums and you won't have to go through a "cycle". Theres no need for us to rehash answers to a vague question (no offense to the topic starter) when there is a sea of information awaiting him in previous posts. Yes, some may have an urge to repost helpful information if they desire, but giving advice to use the search feature would be (in this case) the most beneficial thing possible. Nah, Gator doesn't know anything around here. Open element filter, catback exhaust, tint....so mentally rigorous... So many "ad hominem" bullsh*t arguments lately, IM ABOUT TO BREAK!

IMHO, I'd rather take the time to give my advice out then throw out the "Use the search" canned answer. I know that they could probably find alot of their information in the search, but:
1) Yes, the search is a bit cumbersome. If you want to search all topics, it can take up to 8-10 minutes depending on your connection speed. I'm on a DS3 and it can take me almost 5 minutes. Imagine how long a dialup would take?
2) They're NEWBIES. Don't just tell them "Use the search, use the search!"! Give them advice and THEN tell them about the search. Scolding them for not using something they never knew about in the first place is kind of redundant, huh? Kind of like rubbing a dog's nose in it's poop after it happened 5 hours ago.

kramb,
First of all, welcome to the CEG. Don't mind the a$$holes like Gator VR4. They just like to cause problems and not really try to help out the newer members. Second, I reccommend checking with the Georgia CEG group on this forum. We've got some fellas that do a lot of work on the mighty tours we own. Please feel free to email or private message any one of us, and we'd be glad to help. Don't bother using the search feature when you're in the GA CEG area. We actually like answering questions for our new friends. If you need more direct or immediate help, PM me for my phone #.
