Moonlight Blue 1996 Mercury Mystique GS , Zetec engine, ATX.  No mods. (Well, OK, one mod.  Before I got rid of my previous car, a 1994 Tempo, I swapped radios.  I liked the Tempo's radio better.  That counts as a mod, doesn't it?  I also kept one of my Tempo's wheels to use as a spare.  I hate those stupid ?compact? spares that come with modern cars.  Does this count as a mod?  If so, I guess I have two mods.  Replaced burned/melted blower switch and connector on 19 February 2002 with a 1P3T toggle switch from Marvac and a Molex connector from Rat Shack; I guess this now makes three mods.)

If I get a job after graduating this spring cool , I'll be looking for a car in 2005, so this is my short list:

Audi S4, MB C32 AMG, Lincoln LS, Ford Lightning, or a Saleen or Roush Mustang.

Crap, I almost forgot about the new Nissan 350Z. I'd have to test drive it, but it looks kinda cool.

Of course if I find the perfect woman laugh before that, I'll probably end up getting a family car like a Jag X-type.

I sat in the X-Type 5spd at the Chicago auto show, and without having driven it I still have to say it was VERY nice. Sitting still, the shifter action was even slicker than the M5's, but of course I'd have to actually drive them to get a real impression there.

IS300

The only thing I regret about my purchase is that I should have waiting until Spring.

I'm putting all my chips in betting on the Mazda 6. If they can hold the firm handling/ride end of the bargain, it'll be what I want... 5-door.

Love the Lexus IS300, but I don't want to pay $35,000 for a car.
