I would like to say thank you for all of the responses, good
and bad!I had these pics posted because I want to show that I am a Fellow Contour Owner too! As we speak my Contour is
in the shop. I'm having the Vortex SuperCharger put in with
the MSDS Shorty Headers . Also my computer is being rebuilt.
My installers say that this would be better than buying the
Superchip. Its more money this way but I want speed with all
the extras. I thought we were all supposed to be Contour Enthusiasts here. But To Each It's Own. I will continue to do as I always have. And that is To Improve My Contour, Good or Bad. See you at the shows, Peace

I don't want to be to mean but that car is just gross. When I saw it all I could say was yuck. The SVT is a limited production vehicle that will never be built again. What you did to your car is no different than me crashing mine into a tree. If you have so much money, fix the ugly duckling, give her a nice paint job, take off those sinful stickers and that wing (I'm not even sure that thing is called a wing) give her 300 hp and forget the import competitions. Isn't respect more important that a trophy.

I respect that he put so much time and effort into the car. And I think it's cool that it wins competitions and is appreciated by other like-minded people.
Sure, I wouldn't want my car that I drive every day to look anything like that, but that is his car to do as he pleases with. It certainly is nothing like crashing it into a tree. It isn't up to anyone else to tell him how his car should or shouldn't look. If you don't like it, just don't do it to your contour.
I'd like to see what the wing looks like from the rear with the trunk closed.

To be honest people, there really arent THAT many mods on it. IMO it looks like an old Vegas Casino decoration to each his own though...

I was in agreement with your post until the end. What he does with his car is what he wants to do. Yes IMHO he did it all wrong but it is HIS car.

Now in regards to the respect comment. Everybody does not want a 300hp contour. If he wants to be in the shows let him. The good thing is that he is winning. If you knew anything about the show scene you would know that it is really hard to win in those "import competitions."

Now I hate America? That is a new one to me.

I chose decals because there easy to change year to year.
I like the color of my contour so I would never paint it.
But I love competing and I have to be different, Its the
Law if you have ever competed, you know this! I bought my
Contour July 9, 1997. That make my car over 5 years old
and there is only 30,000 thousand mile on it. I do not drive this every day, nor do I drive it to work. This is
not a everyday car. And I will not treat it as such

I'll be the black shhep of the family and say that I likes it. The wings not for me, but the decals arent that bad, and as far as trophies go, I've never won any in my car, but if one of those girls would just wave to me while I driving by , mmmmmmmmmmmmm....:::logging off now::::
