That is so you don't get a false impression of better braking simply from rotors. Some racing teams do use slotted rotors but not most! They also you light weight two piece rotors!

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
