I have found its easier to put a ramp under the drivers front tire (or put the frontend up on jackstands, depends on how ambitious I am being) and crank the wheels to the left. I still manage to dump almost all the oil onto the subframe getting it out though.
Speaking of which, its due now. I am actually 15 miles over, rolled it tonite on my way home.
