A temp in th 'A' range seems HOT for a V6! Between the chugging and the rotten eggs, I would guess you may have a plug not firing or your running real rich. Might want to check the plugs/wires for good spark. A good intake cleaning and hose checkup along with a couple of tanks with injector cleaner might help out.
