only a cat won't solve the problem...it has to:
a) be the correct length
b) have a flange on either end
that's why sticking the stock unit back in would work fine. I'm assuming most people with the headers have that setup
(headers/y-pipe-->stock cat-->cat back exhaust).
I'm not sure what I'm going to do either, I just checked this weekend and it looks like I junked the stock cat when I installed the SHO SHOP Y....shucks
