Well i did this to my hood latch~ Just like 1314 did~ Then i also had to sand my latch on the CF hood down alittle, because it was bent to the side a little and too fat to fit into and latch down~ Other than that she lines up PERFECT! i'll send in some pics when i get them developed!!!

After you dremel the latch can you still use the stock hood? I plan on changing hoods from the stock one to carbon fiber every now and then. Would I still be able to do that after the latch is dremeled?

The latch loop on the CF hood needs to be dremeled - it's too thick (compare the loops between the CF and OEM hoods).
The holes in the latch need to be enlarged/moved so that the CF hood will lock.
If/when you decide to put the OEM hood back on, you will have to loosen the screws on the latch and move it back to the OEM position, and vice versa.

I haven't even started to attempt my CF hood install (don't want anyone to mess it up when the 3.0L goes in) but I was wondering: instead of dremelling out the latches on the hood is it possible to move the mounting points on the car up by removing and butt-welding back onto the frame? Might look cleaner... Any thoughts Pete??
