I just put my hood on today... And on mine I noticed the sqaurish hook that goes into the latch... The part on the hood, The railing was fatter than on the stock hood so I had to grind that down mybe 1/8 of an inch. Then I dremled out my latch too probably about 1/8-1/4 of an inch to raise it up, and belive it or not it lined up with my grill perfect! BUT then the hood was unstable, when you pushed on it it was very flemsy and would raise either side significatly like rocking a boat. So then I put some thick weather stripping on the fender directly under where he hood meets the fender, right on the edge, So then the hood would fit securly because of it pushing down on the weather striping AND it would keep water from leaking in. I highly recomend the weather stripping! But if you do not want to use hood pins like me, personally I don't like hood pins. This is how I did it. I hope I helped someone out. I will have pics soon!
