Is there a list of acronyms out there such as IIRC, OEM, etc... ?

I can only find the list posted in terminology under the FAQ, but I swear I saw a more comprehensive list than that somewhere. If not, would it be possible to update the exisiting list? I know a lot of the acronyms aren't strictly car terms, but I think it would still be good to have the terminology somewhere when someone just can't seem to figure out what a bunch of letters stand for. Thanks!

I found a site once that was basically a dictionary for acronyms. You input the acronym(IIRC for example)and it tells you what it means.

Heres a short list if it helps;

A/F-air fuel ratio
BTW-by the way
CEG-contour enthusiasts group
EGR-exhaust gas recirculation
FAQ-frequently asked questions
FORD-first on race day
FORD-fix or repair daily
FORD-found on road dead
HTH-hope this helps
IAC-idle air control
IAT-idle air temperature
IIRC-if i remember correctly
IMRC-intake manifold runner control(?)
LIM-lower intake manifold
LMAO-laughing my azz off
MAF-mass air flow
OEM-original equipment manufacturer
OMG-oh my god
PITA-pain in the azz
SAFC-supplemental(?) air fuel controller
STFU-shut the f**k up
SVT-special vehicle team
TB-throttle body
TH-throttle hang
TIA-thanks in advance
TTT-to the top
TTYL-talk to you later
UIM-upper intake manifold
VCT-variable cam timing
WTF-what the f**k

Maybe we should make a thread of this and then we could bookmark it so when it comes up in the future its a quick link. Or so Lance can update the list on the site somwhere. laugh

Same as ttt (to the top). It means you want to "bump" the thread to the top of the forum so more people will see it first.

w00t is not an acronym, neither is n00b or j00.

But, STFU is......
