That's exactly what I did, and it improved the 6K RPM+ pull significantly, not to mention the sound! Also have K&N purchased through Canadian Tire. Now I'm planning to run some piping from those holes to the spot where my foglight used to be on the driver side to get some real cold air. There should be enough room (right?).
