Actually the Stock SVT rear Y-split is not as bad as people think.

I just had mine cut apart to clean it up. It's a lot better designed then I first had thought.

The only thing I needed to do was ground flush the dual pipes that the clamshell slip fit on. (The clamshell is actually a 2.5" ID inlet with 2 2.125" ID outlets)

I can tell you it is a Y-split, not a T-split.

My main question with your exhaust is noise (loud and/or boomy) & rasp!
How can only one center muffler control either one?

How about with a Y-pipe?
Y-pipe with no cat?
No cats altogether (or headers)?

With no cats, I can't control it with a resonator & 2 small mufflers. Sound would probably be nice if it didn't rasp constantly... Very loud still!

Before the headers (with cat-less Y-pipe); I was running just 1 resonator & 1 F-body style muffler & it was downright loud (some rasp). After the headers it was un-livable!!!

i understand what your saying now about the Y section at the rear. We actually do use a Y and not a T. the way we fashion the part is quite unique. i will try to get some pics of a shot down the barrel of the pipe to illustrate. I understand your concern with the gases suddenly coming to the Y section and either coming to an abrupt stop at which way to go, but our Y actually guides the gases.

as far as sound, we are working on getting some clips here soon. our kit is loud with a catless y-pipe or high-flow. however the regular cat-back is quieter, we should also have a resonated cat-back available soon. we will ofcourse keep the board updated.

Any chance of having a cheaper, single exhaust fabricated?

we will looking into the contours soon, for the correct angles. The cost should be alittle cheaper.
